Hello!

My name is Felix, and I’ve been beekeeping for many years in Berlin-Karlshorst.

I started back then with three honey bee colonies and have since expanded to many more. I regularly sell my regional Berliner and Brandenburg honey, and with my website I want to give you a few impressions of various types of honey, exciting beekeeping topics, and of course a bit about myself.

For those interested, I regularly offer courses – whether it’s a one-time insight into a bee colony or training to become a hobby beekeeper. There’s something for everyone!

For me personally, species-appropriate care of honey bees is very important. Even though I don’t have an organic certificate, since the costs of around €400–500 per year don’t make sense for me as a small-scale beekeeper, I try to create the most ideal conditions possible.

Since July 2022, I have established my small beekeeping business “BeeInBerlin.”

Man sollte mit etwas mehr Zeit planen, da sich Igor wirklich viel Zeit für alle Fragen nimmt und auch die Umgebung, in der der Modellpark liegt, so schön ist, dass man am besten noch eine Picknickdecke dabei hat, um die Natur noch ein bisschen länger zu genießen.  Wir (Erwachsene und Kinder) waren so begeistert,  dass wir uns tatsächlich mit dem Thema Imkerei näher auseinandersetzen setzen werden. Lieber Igor, wir hoffen, dass wir dann nochmal eine Privatstunde bei dir buchen können. Tipp, auf Luftbildkarte vorher prüfen, wo der Modellpark liegt, da Google Maps (nicht nur) uns komplett fehlgeleitet hat.

Theorie und Praxis werden hier im Bienenlehrgarten perfekt miteinander verbunden, so dass großes Interesse bei meiner Tochter (10 Jahre) und mir zum Imkern geweckt wurde. Unsere vielen Fragen wurden geduldig, verständlich und mit viel Hintergrundwissen beantwortet. In Imkerkleidung standen wir geschützt zwischen den Bienenstöcken, während des lebhaften Bienenflugverkehrs um uns herum. Meine Tochter sagte mir anschließend, dass sie nach dieser Praxisvorführung viel gelernt hat, Bienen sogar mit den Handschuhen vorsichtig „gestreichelt“ hat und keinerlei Angst mehr vor ihnen hat.
